Help Tools, setup, and safety features in Block Guard
Block Guard now ships with its own setup and reference layer. That includes Guided Setup, Help Center, validation tools, safety education, searchable help topics, and accessibility shortcuts that make the app easier to trust and tune.
The app is no longer just a list of toggles. It now includes in-app explanations and test tools so you can understand what a rule does before or after it affects a real call.
Setup and validation tools
- Guided Setup helps configure your protections from a question-based flow.
- Permission setup explains Call Screening, default Phone app, and default SMS app requirements.
- Rule Validator tests a number against your current rules.
- Test Block Simulation previews what would happen on an incoming call.
- Preview My Setup shows common scenarios before a real caller hits your phone.
Help Center is searchable
- Search help topics inside the app.
- Jump directly to setup, messaging, privacy, profiles, DND, spoofing, Adaptive AI, or backup topics.
- Use global search by triple-tapping the title bar to find screens, settings, help topics, blocked numbers, and more.
Safety and education
- Read scam guidance for fake support, OTP requests, bank impersonation, spoofed caller ID, urgency threats, and irreversible payments.
- Open FTC, USA.gov, and Do Not Call resources from the app.
- Use the built-in education material alongside call blocking so the app helps you decide what to do next, not just what to reject.
